Dr. Jenkins is a native of Northern California. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego. She attended Albany Medical College of Union University, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree. After completing residency training in General Surgery at New York Medical College, she pursued specialized fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery in Towson, Maryland.

Dr. Jenkins is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She has served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Loma Linda University and as volunteer faculty at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. She is an active member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, where she serves on the DEI and Physician Outreach Committees. Dr. Jenkins is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

Dr. Jenkins is currently affiliated with Providence Mission Hospital and Hoag. She is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Mirhoseni is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.  He completed his Fellowship training in Gastroenterology at The Brooklyn Hospital affiliated with Cornell and Columbia Medical School.  Dr. Mirhoseni has over 15 years of extensive experience in advanced diagnostic , therapeutic endoscopy and ERCP.

Dr. Mirhoseni is a member of American College of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastroentrointestinal endoscopy.
